Chandler is a thriving suburb of Phoenix with many amenities and attractions. However, like any place, there are also some aspects of living in Chandler that may not be desirable for everyone. Having lived in Chandler for over 2 decades here are five things you need to consider before making the move.
The Weather & Economy

Traffic & Public Transit
Chandler is a rapidly growing city, which can lead to traffic congestion, road construction and crowded public spaces, especially during peak times. This can make it difficult to get around the city and can cause frustration for those who prefer a more laid-back lifestyle. There seems to always be a street under some sort of construction at all times.
While Chandler does have some public transportation options, such as a bus route, Chandler does not have much else in the way of public transit which can make it difficult for residents without a car to get around
Cost of living
Chandler may have a lower cost of living compared to some other major cities, it may be more expensive than some cities. This can be a challenge for people on a tight budget. Over the last 2 years Chandler has experience extreme price increases and has made it harder for entry level buyers to find homes in the area.
